I am a Master swimmer for over 20 years and since 2017 I have abandoned pool swimming to move permanently to open water and become part of the NAL sports group.

I love open waters for the sense of freedom I feel and for the variety of flora and fauna, which every time seems like a discovery. I love swimming especially in offshore and in the open sea where the sea is bluer, even if in offshore the emotion of the seabed can be strong. Whenever possible I go swimming and training in the sea, preferring it to the possibility of the swimming pool.

Due to my ” philosophy ” of experiencing the open water in the most natural way possible, I am against the use of wetsuits and racing costumes. Getting results without the complicity of clothing that facilitate swimming are entirely the result of one’s own trust, without looking for tricks for shortcuts I think silly.

I participate in the Gran Fondo Italia circuit and among the most important swims personally I remember the crossings of the Strait of Bonifacio (15 km) and the Strait of Gibraltar (16 km), but also the circumnavigation of Monte Argentario (22 km). Other swims that I like to remember with pleasure are the one along the Porto Conte in Alghero Park (17 km), the one in Castellabate in the Marine Protected Area of Santa Maria (15 km) and the city one in Milan in the Naviglio (24.5 km ).

In recent years I have also approached the cold winter waters to know my limits and try new emotions, so for about a year I joined the IISA (International Ice Swimming Association) to deepen this passion.
